Niet achterover vallen!!!

Ik heb sinds lange tijd weer eens een layout gemaakt. Was bijna vergeten hoe het moest. Maar kwam vanochtend op Club CK terecht en daar hebben ze uitdagingen op layout gebied. Daar houd ik wel van. De uitdaging van deze week was: de kleur geel gebruiken. Ik heb de zon en de stralen en de lijnen aan de rechterkant allemaal gestempeld.

It has been a long time since I made a layout but found Club CK this morning, joined up and found a cool contest: make a layout using a Yellow Color Palette. I already had this picture on my desk. It's Jack, Simone and Tom in the pool on Gozo in 2007. I stamped the sun and the sun rays and the journaling lines. The title says: swim goggles!! and the journaling is in Dutch too. It's about how my husband, Simone and Tom always wear goggles when in the pool. It makes for great pictures.

De tweede verjaardagskaart voor een jongen.

Gisteren de 2de kaart gemaakt die Tom nodig heeft. Morgen heeft hij nog een verjaardagsfeestje. Ik heb hetzelfde papier gebruikt als bij de vorige kaart. Toch altijd leuk om te zien dat de kaart dan helemaal anders kan worden. De schets die ik gebruikt heb is schets #8 van het Inchie INKlings blog.

Kaart voor CPS #172

Tom heeft én vandaag én zondag een verjaardagsfeestje. Twee jongens. En dus twee jongenskaarten. Gelukkig heb ik van die papier pakketten die goed voor jongens kaarten te gebruiken zijn. Eigenlijk is het dan alleen maar een schets volgen, beetje eigen interpretatie en kláár. Hier is #1, ik heb de schets van CPS #172 gebruikt.

Two boys, two birthday parties, two birthday cards for a boy! It's a good thing I sometimes buy a complete paper pad with colors you can use for boy/masculine cards. It makes making a card for a boy easier. I used the CPS sketch #172 for this card.

Three challenges in one card.

For the sketch on 2S4Y, Kazan's sketch55. Very versatile sketch, had lots of fun making this card. Used the black ledger cards for the first time since I bought them which is quite some time ago.


For the Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World. I really liked the colors on this halter. Reminds me of summer and tropical islands. Go check out the blog and the challenge.

For the challenge on the Simon says Stamp Challenge blog, "you gotta have Friends". And I already know who I'm going to send this card to. First time I participate in the challenges on this blog.

Kaart en vaderdag cadeau

Voor de challenge van Double Dutch, "maak iets voor vaderdag". Ik had de kaart al klaar en gisteravond nog snel een bon boekje gemaakt voor het cadeau. Ik heb het boekje met mijn Silhouette SD uitgesneden. De kaart heb ik al eerder laten zien, die heb ik ook gebruikt voor de Inchie INKlings challenge.

My card and coupon book for Father's day. I made the coupon book with the Silhouette SD. The coupon is for a golflesson with a golf pro on the Golfclub nearby. I made this for the challenge on the Double Dutch blog.

Zelf pak papier gemaakt.

Ik had pakpapier nodig om een paar cadeau's in te pakken. Voor vrienden die een paar jaar naar Tuscon gaan. Ik heb laatst een rol wit inpakpapier gekocht (ik weet echt niet meer waar) en heb het bestempeld met de stempellap van ArtSpecially. Leuk om te doen.


I needed some Dutch looking wrapping paper en made it myself with some plain white wrapping paper and some Dutch image stamps. Tulips, mill, wooden shoes, some tiles, coffee cup.

Geslaagd!

Mijn nichtje Audrey kreeg afgelopen woensdag te horen dat ze geslaagd was voor haar eindexamen. Eigenlijk tegen alle verwachtingen in. Iedereen is héél erg blij. Simone gaat vanavond naar het eindexamen feest en dat is meteen een mooie gelegenheid om Audrey deze kaart te geven, met inhoud.
De kaart vanmiddag gemaakt, na de voetbal. Onder druk en dat werkt altijd bij mij. De schets die ik heb gebruikt komt van CardPatterns.


My niece Audrey passed her schoolexams. Against all the odds, I don't even think she thought she was going to pass. Everybody is SO pleased for her. I made this card this afternoon after the soccer match and I need it tonight, pressure!! But pressure worked again for me and I'm pleased with the result. The sketch I used is from CardPatterns.

Kaart voor vaderdag.

Geen idee wat ik uit naam van de kinderen aan Jack moet geven komende zondag maar de kaart is af! Weer een inchie kaart voor de uitdaging op het Inchie INKlings challenge blog. Het duurde even voor de inspiratie er was maar toen ik me eenmaal realiseerde dat "papa" 4 letters had ging het snel!!! Ik stuur deze kaart ook in voor de challenge op het "Cards blog", een vaderdag kaart was deze week de uitdaging.


It took quite some time for inspiration to hit me for this challenge. But once I realised that "daddy" in Dutch had 4 letters "papa" it went pretty fast. The challenge comes from the Inchie INKlings challenge blog. I also made this card for Cards blog, A Father's day card.

Tripje op de fiets/ I want to ride my bicycle.

Weer een leuke challenge op het Moxie Fab World blog. Doe iets met een fiets! En als je in Nederland, fietsland, woont wil je wel meedoen. Nu heb ik één fiets stempel en moest ik die wel gebruiken. Ben die stempel vandaag 2x kwijt geweest nog voor ik met mijn kaart begon!! Het is dus goed gekomen anders had ik deze kaart niet kunnen maken.


Another fab challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog, "I want to ride my bicycle". And as I live in a land where a bike is the primary way of transportation for lots of people, I wanted to participate in this challenge. I have just one bike stamp and I lost that twice even before I started on my card today! But then again, I lost a whole stampset a couple of months ago, woodmounted in a clear case, never found it again.
The text is Dutch and it says: Happy Birthday.

Candy time bij Angelique

Ga even een kijkje nemen op het blog van Angelique. Zij geeft candy weg omdat ze 600 volgers heeft (inmiddels al weer 604).

Workshop.

Gisteren was ik gastvrouw voor een SU workshop. Met mezelf meegerekend waren we met 12 SU fans die enthousiast de 2 projecten hebben gemaakt die Nadina en Helga voor ons hadden voorbereid.



Onze Moos vond het wel fijn dat alles opgeruimd werd. Toen had hij weer de ruimte en maakte daar meteen gebruik van.

Een hele snelle kaart.

Ik had vandaag een kaart nodig voor mijn schoonmoeder en ik had ongeveer 10 minuten. Vanochtend heb ik gewerkt dus het moest nog snel vlak voor dat we naar haar toe gingen.

Gelukkig stond schets #67 van CardPatterns al op hun blog. Daar ben ik snel mee aan de slag gegaan. En ik heb voor de lol een foto van mijn werktafel gemaakt toen we net thuiskwamen. Ik had geen tijd meer om op te ruimen voor vertrek. Nu is het opgeruimd hoor!

Twee jaar 2S4Y!

Het is echt waar, 2S4Y viert momenteel de 2de verjaardag. Dus met extra feestelijkheden. Deze week met weer een leuke schets van Laura. Zag er simpel uit maar ik heb heel wat afgeprutst voordat deze kaart afwas. En het lijkt totaal niet op de kaart die ik voor ogen had.

This card started out as something completely different and it took some time to make something at all. But I'm quite pleased with the result.

Het zit er weer op.

De buit medaille is binnen. De avond4daagse zit er weer op voor een jaar. Met het geweldige weer van de afgelopen dagen is de herinnering aan het slechte weer van vorig jaar helemaal verdwenen. Toen liep ik ook nog mee, 4x 10km en elke avond nat en koud weer thuiskomen. Nu hoefde mocht ik niet meer meelopen. (ik heb het doorstrepen van woorden gevonden) Ik heb 3 avonden kaarten gestempeld in het kraampje van de school. Dit is ook heel leuk, je ziet héél véél bekenden (hè San!) en anders gaat de hele avond4daagse helemaal aan je voorbij. Tom heeft samen met 3 vriendjes gelopen en het ging prima.

Tom and Simone walked 10km every evening for the last 4 day's. This is an annual event, you can walk 5, 10 or 15 km. Start is around 6pm. So late nights for all walkers and irregular dinner times. But it's fun, especially the last day when the participants get their medal. There is a lot of music, the mayor is present to wave at everyone and the walkers get flowers and candy. And this year the weather was perfect. Sunny and not too hot. Last year it rained every day.

Zomaar een kaart

Ik kwam op het blog van Dawn een leuk model kaart tegen en dan moet ik dat ook proberen. Dawn heeft ook een video gemaakt voor dit model kaart en dat is wel handig. Het knipwerk was nog het meeste werk.


I enjoy trying out different card shapes, so when I found this step card on Dawn's blog I had to try it out. Not difficult at all. And she had made a video so that made it even easier. The difficult part was cutting out all the little houses and clouds.
