2S4Y Laura's sketch #56

Vanmiddag heb ik een receptie van een vriendin die 25 jaar in dienst is, dus vanmorgen nog snel een kaart gemaakt. Hetzelfde paper gebruikt als bij de vorige kaart want dat lag nog op mijn werktafel:) En het is ook zo'n leuk papier. Ik heb Laura's schets nummer 56 van 2S4Y gebruikt.

My take on Laura's sketch #56 on the 2S4Y blog. I used the same papers from my last post, they were still on my worktable:) The card is for a friend of mine who celebrates 25 years with the same employer, translated the text reads; 25 years.

Three challenges in one card.

I made this card for 3 challenges:

For the sketch on 2S4Y, Kazan's sketch55. Very versatile sketch, had lots of fun making this card. Used the black ledger cards for the first time since I bought them which is quite some time ago.


For the Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World. I really liked the colors on this halter. Reminds me of summer and tropical islands. Go check out the blog and the challenge.

For the challenge on the Simon says Stamp Challenge blog, "you gotta have Friends". And I already know who I'm going to send this card to. First time I participate in the challenges on this blog.

2S4Y Laura's sketch #52

Ik had voor vandaag een verjaardagskaart nodig en deze was vanochtend pas af. Ik heb de kaart afgegeven want opsturen was natuurlijk geen optie. Maar aangezien het vandaag heel erg lekker weer is was dat stukje fietsen ook geen straf. De kaart is voor de schets van Laura op het blog van 2S4Y.


This is a birthday card for a 7 year old. I only finished it this morning and her birthday is today. So I took my bike and delivered it myself. And as the weather finally turned gorgeous over here that was fine and it wasn't too far (10 minutes).

Deze kaart is voor de schets challenge van 2S4Y. Het papier heb ik laatst op een scrapmarkt gekocht. Ik ben gek op de MM paper pads.

I love the MM paper pads. I bought one on a second hand craft market a couple of weeks ago. I used it here for the sketch on the 2S4Y blog.

Een mannenkaart, a masculine card.

Ik blijf het moeilijk vinden, een kaart voor een man. Maar ja, je hebt ze toch vaak nodig dus maar weer mijn best gedaan. De schets is van 2S4Y, Kazan's schets #46.


I still think it's difficult, masculine cards, but I do need them every once in a while. So I try my best. I hope you like it. I used Kazan's sketch #46 from 2S4Y.

Kazan's sketch #31

Afgelopen zaterdat heb ik een hele leuke stempel set gekocht. Allemaal papavers, van Artemio. Vandaag uitgeprobeerd, Dit is mijn kaart voor Kazan's sketch op 2S4Y. De achtergrond is papier van October Afternoon. Er staat nog geen tekst op, het labeltje zit met niet permanente lijm vast dus ik kan er altijd nog een tekst op zetten.


I made this card for Kazan's sketch over on 2S4Y. I went away from the sketch a bit. I bought the stampset I used last Saturday, it's fun to work with. The background papier is by October Afternoon. I didn't put a sentiment on the label yet but it is attached with non permanent glue so I can always put on a text later.

Twee kaarten.

Toch nog wat inspiratie gekregen om 2 kaarten te maken. Voor CPS en 2S4Y. Twee niet zo moeilijke schetsen en ik had 2 kaarten nodig voor 2 jongens. Het papier van MM komt dan weer goed van pas. Ik was ook zo klaar met beide kaarten.

I'm very happy to have found some inspiration to make two cards last night. I miss partaking in challenges but my heart wasn't in it the last couple of weeks.
I used a MM paper pad, for boy's because I needed 2 cards for 2 boy's and made a card for CPS and 2S4Y.

Nog een kaartje voor 2s4y.

Ik heb deze kaart gemaakt met restjes en probeersels die op mijn tafel lagen. Komen ze toch nog goed terecht. De gehaakte bloem heb ik zelf gemaakt!! Ik kwam deze week een hele duidelijke beschrijving tegen op het blog van Nichole Heady, ik ben aan de slag gegaan en als ik dit kan haken kan iedereen het.


I made this card with scraps I had laying around on my table. I can't trow anything away and this way it gets used. The flower I crocheted myself. I found a good description of a crocheted flower on the blog of Nichole Heady. And if I can do this anyone can.

2s4y Laura's sketch #24

Ik zag gisteren op het schoolplein een meisje met groene schoenen waar een rood/wit gestippeld lintje door heen gevlochten was. Leuke combinatie om ook een kaart mee te maken. Het papier is van Doodlebug. De stempel van SU.

I saw a girl at school yesterday who wore green shoes with a red/white polkadot ribbon threaded through the sides. I really liked the color combination and decided to use it for this week's card. I kept it very simple. The dotted paper is by Doodlebug, the stamps is from SU.

Laura's sketch #22.

Gisteravond nog een kaart gemaakt. Voor 2s4y. Laura's beurt weer om een schets te maken.
Aangezien het MM papier nog op mijn werktafel lag heb ik dat weer gebruikt. Verder thickers, SU stempel en pons. De vilten bloem heb ik zelf geknipt. Het touwtje door de knoop is floss van Karen Foster.
Ik heb ook even rondgekeken op de website van DeNami Designs, de sponsor van deze week, ik ben nu helemaal verliefd op het kuikentje dat veel voorbijkomt bij de stempels.

3 Kaarten voor 2s4y. Kazan's sketch 22

Het is deze week "Youth Art Month" in Amerika en kunnen kinderen ook een kaart insturen voor 2s4y. Sakura of America is een van de sponsors van 2s4y en ze hebben leuke cadeau's voor de winnaar.

Tom (9) was meteen te porren om een kaart te maken en heeft zelf papier uitgezocht, samen met mij het papier op maat gesneden hij heeft het zelf opgeplakt. Hij is erg trots op zijn kaart.

Simone (14) vond het ook een leuk idee. Die heeft haar kaart helemaal zelf gemaakt, ze heeft zelf best wel veel gereedschap en papier enz. om kaarten te maken en scrapbook pagina's en heeft dat gebruikt voor haar kaart.

En ik, ik vind het altijd leuk om een kaart te maken. Dit is mijn uitwerking geworden. Papier is van K&C.

It's Youth Art Month in America. Sakura of America has some great prices for children who participate this week on 2s4y.

Simone en Tom needed no persuasion to make a card. So here are their efforts. Tom (9) chose all the papers on his card himself. He cut them himself and glued them down. He also chose the stamps he wanted to use. I think he made a brilliant card (I know, I'm biased).

Simone (14) also didn't need any help with her card. I love her card. She has a lot of card/scrapbook products and tools of her own, she used most of her own stash.

My card is a mother's day card. It says "For mother's Day" in Dutch.The paper is K&C.

Laura's sketch 17

Weer een kaart af. Dit keer voor de schets op 2s4y. Weer zo'n schets waar je lekker mee aan de slag kan. Ik heb maar weer BG papier gebruikt. En mijn threading water punch. Zo leuk om mee te werken!

Another card done for this week. For the sketch on 2s4y. Laura's turn again this week. Very versatile sketch. I used BG again and my threading water punch, love that punch.

Kazan's sketch#17

Nog een kaart af. Voor 2s4y dit keer. Elke week is het weer een verrassing met wat voor schets Kazan of Laura komen. En elke week weer een uitdaging om er wat leuks van te maken. Dit keer is het een verjaardagskaart geworden.

Another card done. For 2s4y this time. Every week it's an surpise to see what kind of sketch Kazan and Laura come up with. And every week it's a challenge to make something nice with the sketch. This week it's a birthday card.

2 Sketches 4 you heeft een nieuw Design Team, de komende 3 maanden kunnen we elke maandag van hun meesterwerken genieten, het zijn stuk voor stuk hele creatieve meiden.

Ik ben deze week weer laat met mijn kaart maar toch nog gelukt. Ik heb de komende weken veel verjaardagen, o.a. mijn moeder en schoonmoeder (op de zelfde dag!!) en kan veel kaarten gebruiken. Deze vind ik wel een geschikte voor een van de 2.
Ik vind het papier van BG zo mooi dat ik het al tijden heb liggen maar nog niet gebruikt. Het maken van kaarten is dus heel goed om eens van mijn stapel DP af te komen.

I'm late with my card, again, but here it is. I have a lot of birthdays coming up, my mother and mother in law (on the same day) and need a lot of cards. I think this one goes to one of them. I love this paper by BG but haven't used it much yet. Making cards is a good way to use it.

Materials used: BG two scoops, Cricut for the flowers and the card, rub ons, embroidery floss, 2 brads.

Ik doe nu toch al heel wat weken mee met de uitdaging op 2s4y maar het blijft leuk. Ik heb deze kaart bewust heel simpel gehouden want deze is bestemd voor een jongen die volgende week 14 wordt.

I kept my card fairly simple as it is for a boy who will turn 14 next week. It didn't take very long to make.
