Een mannenkaart.

Op het blog van Lily Pad cards hebben ze weer een leuke challenge, een patterned paper challenge. Gebruik je favoriete papier waar je super zuinig op bent en al jaren in de kast ligt. Zo zou je de challenge kunnen lezen. Ik heb papier gebruikt wat ik nog niet zo lang heb, van Martha gekregen, maar ik vond het wel leuk om voor deze challenge te gebruiken. En is is prima papier om een mannenkaart mee te maken. Ik vond vandaag nog een mal van Make Me en die heb ik gebruikt voor al die stukjes papier

This is my card for the patterned paper challenge on the Lily Pad cards blog. All the paper used comes from one 6x6 paper pad from MME, I love the kraft look of every sheet. And it's great to make masculine cards with.

4x6 photo love December

Dit is een layout voor de laatste "4x6 photo love" klas op Two Peas in a Bucket. Ik heb maar 3 lay-outs gemaakt voor deze klas, maar het is wel heel leuk om te doen. In januari 2011 was Shimelle begonnen met één foto en in december moest je er 12 gebruiken. En dat op één vel van 12x12 inch. 

This is a LO for the December "4x6 photo love" class on Two Peas in a Bucket. This was also the last 4x6 photo love class. Shimelle started with just one picture in January 2011 and she finished with 12!!!

Gisteren moest ik naar het ziekenhuis voor mijn controle afspraak. En toen ik thuis in de auto stapte zag ik dit. Dit is de voorruit van binnen uit. Ik heb er even van zitten genieten voordat ik ging krabben.
Ik ga volgende week weer werken.

Kerstkaart met ongewone kleuren, Christmas card with unusual colors.

Voor mij althand maar ik vind de kaart wel leuk geworden. Deze is weer voor de schets challenge op het Jingle Belles blog. Totaal andere kaart dan de vorige maar met dezelfde schets.

This is an unusual color for me to use on a Christmas card but I still like it. This is my second card for the "sketching through the snow" challenge on the Jingle Belles blog. Same sketch, totally different card than my first one. The sentiment reads "let it snow" in Dutch.

Nieuwe techniek geleerd.

Eigenlijk had ik deze techniek al eens gezien maar nog nooit zelf gedaan. Vandaag in de klas 3 manieren gezien om met een en dezelfde stempel 3 compleet verschillende kaarten te maken. Een ervan was kleuren op zwart papier! Hoe doe je dat nu. Ik heb het geprobeerd en het is super leuk om te doen. Ik heb geen prismapotloden maar gewone Bruynzeel kleurpotloden gebruikt. 

I loved the technique we saw in class today, coloring on black card stock. I don't have prisma pencils so I tried it with ordinary coloring pencils and I like how my card turned out. The sentiment is in Dutch and reads, congratulations. I didn't color it because I like the contrast.

Een simpele kaart.

Clean and simple card making heet de online class die ik volg. Gisteren had Julie Ebersole het over witte kaarten. Vandaag maar een witte kaart gemaakt. Ik heb het vliegtuigje eerst gedebosssed (is dat een Nederlands woord) met een stans en daarna het bijpassende vliegtuig gestempeld. Ik wilde eerst ook nog een banjer achter het vliegtuig stempelen maar op een of ander manier is die stempel die bij de banner hoort in mijn Cuttlebug terecht gekomen en is nu dood.

A white card for my online class.  I debossed the plane with a die and then stamped the image. I was going to put a banner behind the plane but somehow the banner stamp that goes with the die got caught in my Cuttlebug (yes you may cry) and is now in 3 pieces.

Weer eens een Kerstkaart.

Als ik zo doorga heb ik dit jaar op tijd al mijn Kerstkaarten klaar. Maar het is pas januari. Dit is weer een kaart voor het Jingle Belles blog. Dit keer kreeg je een schets om mee te werken. Ik heb het lint zelf gemaakt door er een draad doorheen te naaien en aan te trekken.

If I can keep it up I'll have my Christmas cards ready on time this year. It's only January but I do hope I keep it up. This is another card for the Jingle Belles blog. We got a sketch to work with.  I made the ruffled ribbon myself by putting a running stitch throug a length of ribbon and then pulled the thread.

BTW: My DH just told me he doesn't think I'll be able to keep this up, a Christmas card every week. Now I have to prove him wrong LOL.

Vandaag zo'n leuke techniek video gezien! Jennifer McGuire maakte kleurvakken met de foam pads die je met distress inkt gebruikt. Geweldig resultaat. En makkelijk, het heet niet voor niets "clean and simple". De kaart heb ik gemaakt voor een vriendin die gaat verhuizen.

I loved todays technique video. Jennifer McGuire used foam applicators to make colored blocks on her card. Fantastic result and very simple to do. I needed a card for a friend who is going to move to a new house so I pulled out my Dutch houses stamp set, the sentiment reads "new home!".

Zomaar een kaart.

Ik was vanmiddag met mijn Distress inkt aan het spelen en had inkt+perfect pearls op mijn non stick craft sheet. Ik vond het eigenlijk zonde om dat op te vegen dus heb ik er nog een kaart mee gemaakt. Met mijn stempel acryl blok, goed in de inkt draaien en dan stempelen. Met de zelfde kleur de vlinder gestempeld, tekst eronder en klaar! De randen heb ik ook met dezelfde kleur blauw gemaakt. Ik vind de kaart wel geslaagd. Vrijwel ook een één-laags kaart dus ik zet hem ook maar in de galerij.

I had some Distress ink and perfect pearls on my non stick craft sheet after I finished a card today and didn't want to waste it. So I pressed my acryl block in the ink and stamped it on a piece of paper. I then stamped the butterfly and the sentiment with the same ink. I like how it turned out. And as it is an almost one layer card I'm going to put it in the class gallery.
