Weer 3 Kerstkaarten klaar.

Op het Jingle Belles blog hadden ze een foto met hele mooie kussens die je als inspiratie voor de nieuwe challenge moest gebruiken. Ik zou deze kussens best wel op de bank willen hebben met Kerst.

The girls on the Jingle Belles blog had a picture of some gorgeous pillows for us to use as  inspiration for the new challenge.

Ik heb 3 kaarten gemaakt deze keer. Ik heb mijn Bazzill In-stitch'z templates maar weer eens tevoorschijn gehaald. Die blijven leuk en borduurgaren heb ik genoeg.

I made 3 cards this time. I used my Bazzill in-stitch'z templates. I don't use these a lot but I still like them and I have enough embroidery floss to last me forever.

Kerst in Maart.

Het is al weer bijna 2 weken geleden dat het Jingle Belles blog met de nieuwe challenge kwam. Dus hoog tijd om mijn kaart op mijn blog te zetten. Ik wilde er meer maken maar dat is tot nu toe niet gelukt. Het thema voor deze weken was "stickers". Dus het stof van mijn stickers afgeblazen en gebruikt. Volgens mij heb ik deze op de Scrapaganza van 2007 gekocht. Het papier ook.

Ik had geen idee of deze kaart iets zou worden maar ik heb er uiteindelijk toch nog iets van kunnen maken. Deze is ook nog voor de challenge van het Jingle Belles blog.

When I started this card I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but I do. Sometimes is so difficult to translate what is in your head into an actual card. This is another card for the Jingle Belles blog challenge.

Nieuwe Kerstkaart.

Ik probeer nog steeds bij te blijven met het maken van Kerstkaarten. En het Jingle Belles blog maakt het me makkelijk door elke 2 weken met een nieuwe challenge te komen. Dit keer was het "all buttoned up". Gebruik knopen. Nou die heb ik zat. Een kaart ermee maken is natuurlijk was anders. En ik ben maar 3x opnieuw begonnen omdat het niet ging zoals ik wilde.

I try to keep up with making Christmas cards. And following the Jingle Belles blog really helps. They had a great challenge this time "all buttoned up. I have loads of buttons. Making a card is a different story and I remade this card 3 times. It just didn't look right.

Kerstkaart met ongewone kleuren, Christmas card with unusual colors.

Voor mij althand maar ik vind de kaart wel leuk geworden. Deze is weer voor de schets challenge op het Jingle Belles blog. Totaal andere kaart dan de vorige maar met dezelfde schets.

This is an unusual color for me to use on a Christmas card but I still like it. This is my second card for the "sketching through the snow" challenge on the Jingle Belles blog. Same sketch, totally different card than my first one. The sentiment reads "let it snow" in Dutch.

Weer eens een Kerstkaart.

Als ik zo doorga heb ik dit jaar op tijd al mijn Kerstkaarten klaar. Maar het is pas januari. Dit is weer een kaart voor het Jingle Belles blog. Dit keer kreeg je een schets om mee te werken. Ik heb het lint zelf gemaakt door er een draad doorheen te naaien en aan te trekken.

If I can keep it up I'll have my Christmas cards ready on time this year. It's only January but I do hope I keep it up. This is another card for the Jingle Belles blog. We got a sketch to work with.  I made the ruffled ribbon myself by putting a running stitch throug a length of ribbon and then pulled the thread.

BTW: My DH just told me he doesn't think I'll be able to keep this up, a Christmas card every week. Now I have to prove him wrong LOL.

Eén kaart, 2 challenges.

Af en toe maak ik nog eens een kaart voor een challenge. En als ik dan één kaart voor 2 challenges kan maken is dat ook wel mooi meegenomen. Op het Jingle belles blog was de challenge "Deck the Halls" en de challenge op het Moxie Fab blog was de challenge "card play".

Ik heb vorig jaar een oud kaartspel, zwarte pieten, gevonden in een antiekwinkel hier in het dorp. Het was niet compleet maar ik vond de plaatjes zo schattig. Er zat ook nog een balboekje uit 1892 bij!! Zo leuk. Staat in mijn kast bij alle andere leuke spulletjes. Ik heb voor mijn kaart een van de speelkaarten gekopieerd (ik ga echt de originele kaarten niet gebruiken). Ik heb zo eens alle kaarten die in het spel zitten goed bekeken en ik kan deze voor heel veel gelegenheden gebruiken.

One card for 2 challenges.

I found an old set of playing cards in a local antique shop. It was incomplete but I love the images so I bought it anyway. It also contained a very old dance card,  from 1892. In it gentemen could write their name behind a dance. Such a lucky find!
Anyway, I used one of the playing cards to make one card for two challenges. The "Deck the Halls" challenge on the Jingle Belles blog and the "card play" challenge on the Moxie fab world blog. I copied the playing card, couldn't get myself to use the orininal.
