Happy Halloween en een jarige, de bonus sketch en caardvarks

Happy Halloween aan iedereen. Wij begonnen de dag met een jarige. Om half 8 aan het ontbijt met een lekker zacht gekookt eitje en toast. Zo zou ik elke dag wel kunnen beginnen. Het kind voelde zich echt jarig en na het ontbijt mocht ze gewoon naar school. Vanavond heeft ze een paar vriendinnen na school mee naar huis genomen voor taart en ze bleven ook eten, broodje knakworst.

Gisteravond hebben we met zijn vieren 2 pompoenen uitgesneden. Elk jaar weer zo'n leuk werk. Ik heb er een samen met Simone gedaan en Jack samen een met Tom. Ze staan nu beiden naast de voordeur met een kaarsje erin en het buitenlicht uit.

Ik heb ook nog tijd gehad voor de bonus schets van Joke op 2s4y. Dit is de verjaardagskaart voor Tom komende zondag. Hij wilde zelf deze kleuren.

I had some time left for the bonus sketch on 2s4y. Thanks Joke for the sketch. This will be my son's birthday card. He has his birthday on Sunday. I used MM papers and a cuttlebug embossing folder. The stamped image is made with the JustRite monogram stamper. Oh, and BTW, Kath's card gave me the inspiration for this card. Thanks Kath.

I'm also going to put it on the Caardvarks blog, they had a challenge where you had to use a monogram and the T is for Tom, my son.

Kazan's sketch #12

Nummer 12 alweer. De tijd vliegt. De drie maanden van het DT leden zijn ook al weer om. Bedankt dames voor de inspiratie van de afgelopen 3 maanden.

Ik heb mijn laatste Halloween kaart gemaakt voor de schets van deze week. Morgen is het Halloween en natuurlijk de verjaardag van onze eigen kleine "heks" . De achtergrond heb ik door de Cuttlebug gehaald. Het papier is weer van Imaginisce en de stempels van Inkadinkado, de cats and bats set. De swirl heb ik geverfd met paars en zwart met daartussen quick crackle.

Already sketch#12, how time flies. And 3 months have passed for the DT members and this is their final week. Ladies, thank you for all the inspiration you have given me the last three months.

I made my final Halloween card. It's Halloween tomorrow and also the birthday of our own little "witch" Simone, she will be 14.
I used the cuttlebug for the background, DP is by Imaginisce and the stamps are Inkadinkado. The swirl I painted with purple and black ink with quick crackle in between.

Een label voor "Tag, you're it".

Ook een leuke blog. Hier maak je alleen maar tags (of labels). Deze week was het thema Kerstboom. Dit heb ik ervan gemaakt. Kraft CS, stempels zijn van Hero Arts. Kerstlintje en een grote rode spiltpen. En een paar rode pareltjes.

I had a go at a tag. The challenge was Christmas tree. I have this beautiful Hero Arts tree stamp and used it on green CS with white memories ink and cut it out. The star I made with the cricut and gold CS. I stamped the tag with another Hero Arts stamp. Put a ribbon aroud the tag and some at the top. Used a big red brad to conceal the ends of the ribbon. Put some red pearls on the tree.

CPS 88

Het is een tijdje geleden dat ik een kaart voor CPS heb gemaakt maar toen ik de schets voor deze week zag had ik meteen iets in mijn hoofd. En aangezien het creatieve mij niet komt aanwaaien ben ik meteen maar begonnen. Het papier is van Imaginisce en de sneeuwkristallen de Kerstbomen en de kaart rechts zijn met de Cricut gemaakt, de Christmas cheer cartridge.

I haven't made a card for CPS very often but this week I had an idea when I saw the sketch. So here it is. Papers are from Imaginisce, the Christmas trees and the little card on the right and the snowflakes are cut with the Cricut.

Cuttlebug camp, nog meer pompoenen.

Pompoenen gemaakt van 8 uitgeponste/gestanste ovalen. Door de cuttlebug gehaald en aan elkaar geplakt. Makkelijk project en leuk resultaat.

I punched out 8 ovals for the orange pumpkin and I die cut 8 scalloped ovals with my nestabilities for the black one. Put them through the cuttlebug with the embossing folders and glued them together. Fun project, not difficult but lovely results.

Cuttlebug camp, gift card holder.

Deze is nog van gisteren maar als ze in de VS wakker worden ga ik alweer bijna naar bed, ongeveer! Ik heb gisteren een kaart gemaakt voor Simone en zij wilde een verjaardagskaart met een tintje Halloween. Ik geloof dat dat wel is gelukt. Onder de oranje cirkel zit ook nog een spin die omhoog komt als je het lintje losmaakt, of niet, maar de bedoeling is goed.

De cuttlebug camp workshop was een houder voor een cadeaukaart maken. Ik heb deze in de zelfde stijl als de kaart gemaakt. Het DP door de cuttlebug gehaald met de Happy Birthday embossing folder.

I made a card for my DD and asked her if she wanted a normal birthday card or a birthday card with a bit of Halloween. She went for a bit of Halloween. I think I succeeded. Under the orange circle is a pop-up spider, at least that's what it is meant to be. We'll see.

I made the gift card holder in the same color and papers. Put the 2 pieces of DP through the Cuttlebug with the Happy Birthday folder. And I put the orange CS through the Cuttlebug with the swiss dots.

Cuttlebug camp

Ik heb 2 workshops gemist maar deze was niet zo veel werk. Een servetring. Ik ben bij het Halloween thema gebleven. Ook omdat Simone vrijdag op Halloween jarig is en zij krijgt alles wat ik tot nu toe gemaakt heb naast haar bord bij het ontbijt.

I missed 2 workshops but this one wasn't so much work. A napkinring. I stayed with the Halloween theme. My daughter Simone has her birthday on Halloween and she'll get all that I made next to her plate at breakfast. I used black, purple and orange cardstock and 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders, swiss dots and Boo to you. I punched the pumpkin face out with a circle punch.

Cuttlebug Camp, mandje

Dit is de 2de workshop op het Cuttlebug blog. Een mandje, eigenlijk voor Thanksgiving maar ik heb het voor Halloween gemaakt.

Cuttlebug Camp.

Vier dagen lang worden er op het blog van Cuttlebug Challenges workshops gegeven. Je kunt meedoen als je wil. Je krijgt een voorbeeld en uitleg en dan ga je zelf aan de gang. De eerste workshop was een pompoen maken. Heel leuk werk. Dit deed ik al met Kerstkaarten, je krijgt dan de leukste Kerstballen. Nu heb ik paars CS gebruikt en oranje voor de blaadjes en zwart voor de krullen. Ik had nog 2 paarse splitpennen met glitter, perfect voor mijn pompoen.

First workshop from the Cuttlebug Camp. This was so fun to do. I think it took me about 10 minutes to make. I used to do this with Christmas cards, cut those in thin strips and put a brad in each end. This was before I started with scrapbooking and cardmaking.

I used purple and orange CS and some black. Put the strips through the cuttlebug with the tiny bubbles embossing folder. I even had 2 purple brads with glitter on them.

Halloween hanger

Ik koop altijd Halloween papier. Gewoon omdat het zo leuk is. Dit jaar was de Halloween lijn van Imaginisce weer heel mooi. Aangezien ik er maar een beperkt aantal kaarten mee maak heb ik nu van de rest een Halloween hanger gemaakt. Ik heb mijn Cricut gebruikt voor de spinnen en de letters. De spoken zijn gestempeld op tissues en uitgeknipt. Het zwarte lint komt van een tas die ik van de week heb gehad tijdens een kledingparty van Out-Siders. Nog wat knopen erop geplakt en klaar.

I had some Halloween DP left and I made a Halloween hanger. Used my Cricut for the spiders and the text. Stamped the ghosts on tissue paper and cut them out. Some buttons and some black ribbon and I was done. Fun project.

Materials used: Imaginisce Hallowimsy DP, black and orange CS, buttons, black ribbon, scrappers floss black and orange. Cricut cartridges: Doodlecharm and Basecamp.

Cuttlebug challenge #3 en Double Dutch challenge

Twee vliegen in een klap. De Cuttlebug challenge was: maak iets anders dan een kaart of verander iets m.b.v. je cuttlebug embossing folders. De uitdaging bij Double Dutch was: maak een kaft voor een A6 notitie boekje. Dus van kraft CS de kaft gemaakt en met de script emb. folder versierd. De tekst heb ik met de computer gemaakt. De zakdoek met de knoop is van katoen gemaakt. In de kaft heb ik nog een pocket gemaakt om kassa bonnen op te bergen.
Ik heb altijd een notitieboekje naast de laptop liggen beneden, nu heb ik een leuk notitieboekje liggen.




Two challenges in one project. The Cuttlebug challenge was to make something other than a card or to alter something with the embossing folders and the Double Dutch challenge was to make a notebook cover. So I made a notebook cover with the script embossing folder. I used kraft CS and some green CS. The text is computer generated and says, don't forget book, in Dutch. The hanky with the knot is made out of cotton. On the inside you find a pocket for coupons etc.
Because I'm getting older!!! I find I have to write things down so not to forget them. Now I have a nice little notebook next to the computer.

"Echte" Hollandse appeltaart.

Tom wil met zijn verjaardag appeltaart en aangezien ik nog nooit appeltaart heb gemaakt heb ik afgelopen vrijdag proefgedraaid. Het is dus niet moeilijk. Mijn schoonmoeder kwam het weekend en ik had de taart klaar toen ze kwam.

Kazan's sketch 11

Alweer de 11 schets van Kazan, wat gaat de tijd toch vlug. Ik heb voor deze week weer een Halloween kaart gemaakt. Niet dat Halloween nu zo gevierd word hier in Nederland maar ik ben helemaal weg van het papier van Imaginisce. Ik ga alle kaarten die ik voor Halloween heb gemaakt ook versturen. Ook ga ik deze week de Halloween versier doos uit de kelder halen. Alles nog vanuit de VS. Zalig. Ik zal wel wat foto's plaatsen.

Already the 11th sketch by Kazan, time flies. I made another Halloween card this week. I just love this paper. Halloween is not really celebrated much in The Netherlands but I will send out all the cards I made. I'll start decorating my house for Halloween too this week. Got everything I have in the States when I lived there.

Materials used: black and orange CS, DP Hallowhimsy by Imaginisce, black ink and some buttons. Used my cricut for the brackets.

Cuttlebug challenge #2

Wat gaat een week toch snel voorbij. Deze challenge loopt van woensdag tot woensdag en elke keer denk ik, ik heb tijd genoeg, en dan is het alweer dinsdag. Mijn kaart is af. Het thema deze week was Halloween of herfst. Ik heb nog geen Halloween producten voor bij de cuttlebug dus heb ik mijn "swiss dots" maar weer een gepakt. Dat is ook wel mijn favoriet.

A week passes so quickly. I always think I have enough time for every challenge I would like to participate in and then it's almost too late to post a card. Well, this week I only just made it again. I have no Halloween/fall cuttlebug products, yet, so I use my swiss dots.

Materials used: Bazzill CS, orange, black and purple. Martha Stewart bat template and some Bo Bunny ribbon, Karen Foster floss.

Penny Black Saturday challenge.

The uitdaging van de PBSC was een schets. Na aanleiding van die schets moest je kaart gemaakt worden, uiteraard met een Penny Black product. Dit is wat ik er van heb gemaakt. Het is ook een groen/roze kaart geworden na aanleiding van een uitdaging op de blog van Kadee Morrison.




This is my take on this weeks challenge. I used the "giving and receiving" transparent stamp set. It is also my take on the challenge on Kadee Morrisons blog. Make a card with green/pink, buttons and ribbon. Sorry, no buttons.

Laura's sketch #10

Ik doe nu toch al heel wat weken mee met de uitdaging op 2s4y maar het blijft leuk. Ik heb deze kaart bewust heel simpel gehouden want deze is bestemd voor een jongen die volgende week 14 wordt.

I kept my card fairly simple as it is for a boy who will turn 14 next week. It didn't take very long to make.

Cuttlebug challenge.

Nieuwe blog gevonden, Cuttlebug challenges. Puur en alleen gebruik maken van de cuttlebug en bijbehorende artikelen, de embossing folders en de stansen. Deze week was de uitdaging (de eerste want ze zijn net begonnen) "gebruik drie verschillende embossing folders"Ik heb echt de hele week van alles bedacht maar uiteindelijk is het deze kaart geworden. Ik had de cirkels al op mijn tafel liggen en heb ze met de "Happy birthday, paisley en tiny bubbels" embossing folders door de cuttlebug gehaald.



I had a hard time coming up with an idea for this weeks challenge on Cuttlebug challenges. Finally I made this card with the circles I had already on my worktable. I just used the "Happy birthday, tiny bubbles and the paisley" embossing folder. I quite like the result. You can see it better when you click on the picture.

Kazan's sketch 10

Ik heb een paar drukke dagen gehad. Maar ik heb ook altijd tijd nodig om een schets op me in te laten werken. Vandaag heb ik mezelf beloofd dat ik de hele middag op mijn werkkamer mocht zitten en ik had ook een idee voor de kaart schets van Kazan. Als ik iets in mijn hoofd heb gaat het meestal wel snel. Dus dit is het geworden. Ik heb mijn Cuttlebug gebruikt voor het CS en voor de sneeuwpoppen. Zo leuk dat je ook vilt kunt snijden met de cuttlebug. De ijskristallen op de achtergrond met blauw gestempeld op wit vilt.

I have had a few busy days. But I also need time to think about a sketch. So, today I promised myself a whole afternoon in my craftroom. And this card came together quickly. I used my cuttlebug for the embossed CS and the snowmen. I love the way it cuts through felt. The snowflakes on the background I stamped with blue on white felt.

Materials used: white and red felt. Cuttlebug embossing folder and die (snowman), blue ink by Hero Arts, stamps by Provocraft. Decorative black and red pearls and red/white gingham ribbon.
