12 Tags of 2012, August

Het is weer bijna het einde van de maand en tijd voor de  "tag". Vandaag een vrije dag gehad zonder kinderen of huishoudelijke karweitjes ( die negeer ik gewoon, de karweitjes natuurlijk). Ik was ook vrij snel klaar met mijn "tag", ik had natuurlijk al bijna een hele maand de tijd gehad om er over na te denken natuurlijk. Het frame en het silhouette heb ik met mijn Silhouette SD uitgesneden en daarna met versamark en zwart embossing poeder bewerkt. De bloemen had ik al heel lang. Op het prijskaartje stond zelfs nog de oude naam van het tuincentrum waar ik ze had gekocht!

I finally started and finished my tag for August today. It came together quite quickly, But I already had a month to think about it. I cut out the frame and silhouette with my Silhouette SD. I used embossing ink and black embossing powder on it. The flowers I have had in my stash forever.

Een schets voor Kerstmis.

Het Jingle Belles blog had een schets voor de uitdaging. Ik hou wel van schetsen, neemt veel denkwerk weg. Dus ondanks de warmte toch maar mezelf koel gehouden door Kerstkaarten te maken, weer 2 erbij.

The Jingle Belles blog had a sketch as a prompt. I like sketches, they make card making easier. And inspite of the fact that Summer finally arrived here I stayed cool making Christmas cards.

The Minty Fresh challenge.

Op het Moxie fab world blog staat een leuke challenge. The Minty Fresh Challenge. Met een stel super mooie foto's om inspiratie te krijgen. Dus tijd om de  mint kleuren uit de kast te halen. Ik heb een nieuwe stempel gebruikt en een flesje Mr. Huey's color mist, dewey. Verder een PTI stempel en mistables van Studio Calico, de vlinders.

There is a great challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog, the Minty Fresh Challenge. There are some gorgeous minty photo's on the blog to get some inspiration and some eye candy. I love this color. So I took my minty ink en minty mist and made a card.

Vakantiekaart

Een vakantie kaart voor vrienden die nog op vakantie mogen. Hier in het zuiden hebben de lagere scholen nog één week vrij. Het is een vrij simpele kaart met papier wat ik ooit gewonnen heb. Scooter's Vacation van Imaginisce. De woorden heb ik uit een van de vellen papier geknipt. Ik heb alleen het touwtje wat je op de foto ziet vervangen voor een groen stukje lint. Nu ziet het er echt beter uit. De stempel is ook van Imaginisce.

I made this card for friends who go on vacation soon. I used paper by Imaginisce, Scooter's vacation. I won this some years ago. The stamps is also by Imaginisce. I cut the words from one of the papers. I changed the twine to green ribbon after I took the picture. Looks much better now.

Tags of 2012, July.

We zijn net terug van een zalig weekend op Texel. Wij zijn daar naar de Texel airshow gaan kijken. We hebben een super dag gehad, prima weer, een gave show en een hele leuke B&B die ik echt kan aanbevelen.

Ik had vrijdag avond de tag van juli al gemaakt, voor de 12 tags of 2012,  maar nog niet online gezet. Bij deze dus. Weer wat aan de late kant maar wij zijn ook nog 2 weken in Frankrijk geweest. Weer een leuke tag om te maken. Ik heb er een Nederlands tintje aan gegeven. Ik heb een SU color spritzer tool gebruikt voor de kleuren.

Here is my tag for the "12 tags of 2012". I have no alcohol inks so I used distress markers and a spritzer tool for the colors. And I gave my tag a Dutch look because I'm Dutch.

En het is òf groen òf rood maar deze kleuren niet samen op één kaart. Leuk thema van het Jingle Belles blog. Nu had ik deze kaart zonder versieringen al weken op mijn tafel liggen maar ik wist niet wat ik er mee moest. Nu ineens wel, en aangezien het niet veel werk was heb ik er meteen 4 gemaakt. Het waren er bijna 5 maar mijn rode lint was op.

And it's either green or red for the challenge on the Jingle Belles blog but not together on one card. This is a fun challenge. I had this card on my desk for weeks but without the embellishments. I didn't know how to finish it, but it was perfect for the challenge and I made 4 because they were so easy to do. And I would have made 5 but I ran out of red ribbon.

12 tags of 2012, June.

Met nog één dag, 11 uur en 29 minuten te gaan ben ik zeker op tijd met mijn tag voor juni 2012. Maar als je dan nagaat dat ik een maand de tijd had om deze te maken is het weer eens op het nippertje. Maar dat zijn jullie wel van mij gewend.
Op het fotootje staat de familie van mijn vader. Ergens in de jaren dertig gemaakt. Ik heb het origineel gescand en verkleind om op de tag te gebruiken.

Just in time before the submissions close. Only 1 dag, 11 hours and 29 minutes to go. But hey! It's done. The family on the small picture I used is my fathers family, the picture is taken in the '30's of last century. I scanned the original and reduced it to use on my tag.

I made this card and the topper for my son's teacher. He has his last day of elementary school tomorrow. Time flies.

Jingle belles kaarten

Het thema voor de Kerstkaarten op het Jingle Belles blog deze keer was " Mele Kalikimake" wat Prettige Kerstdagen betekent op Hawaï. En daar is het heet! en daarom was het de bedoeling om je kaart te maken met felle kleuren (tropisch). Ik zag vorige week een verpakking van een geurtje en dat heb ik als uitgangspunt gebruikt voor mijn kaarten. Ik heb eigenlijk de hele verpakking als voorbeeld gebruikt (zie foto).

I liked the challenge on the Jingle Belles blog. I took my inspiration from a box that came with a eau de toilette. In fact, I like the color blocking so much I copied it to make my cards.

Geslaagd!!!!!!

Simone is voor haar HAVO examen geslaagd. Met een prima puntenlijst, niet één onvoldoende. Wij zijn heel trots op haar natuurlijk. Ik had al een kaart klaar. En aangezien er heel veel bekenden eindexamen deden had ik een kleine voorraadje.

My daughter Simone passed her high school exams. All good grades. We are very proud of her. I made some cards in advance. Lots of kids I know had exams.
